WHO에서 추천하는 검사 연산법은 upE RT-PCR 로 시작하여 양성이면 ORF 1A 측정을 확인하거나 RdRp 또는 N 유전자 서열을 검사, 확인하는 것이다. upE 와 2차 검사가 양성이라면 확인된 것으로 본다.
