أعقب خطاب الرئيس الأرميني خطاب كاريكين الثاني “الكاثوليكوس الحالي للكرسي الأم” ورأس كنيسة الأرمن الأرثوذكس الذي تحدث عن حاجة المسيحيين للبقاء متحدين في الشرق الأوسط والعالم لمواجهة الاضطهاد، مستشهدًا بالمعاناة الحالية التي يعيشها أولئك الخاضعين لسيطرة تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية المتطرف.
