On political and security matters, the Meeting discussed efforts to tackle illicit drugs and violent extremism and ways to enhance cooperation on maritime security. On economic cooperation, the Meeting discussed partnership for sustainability, the realization of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, responsible fishery management, and upholding a multilateral trading system, including the conclusion of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) this year. With regard to the socio-cultural pillar, the Meeting discussed cooperation in combating pandemics and marine debris, as well as measures to cope with climate change.

ที่ประชุมหารือเรื่องความร่วมมือในหลายด้าน ในด้านความมั่นคง ที่ประชุมได้เน้นเรื่องการจัดการกับปัญหายาเสพติด การต่อต้านการก่อการร้ายและแนวคิดสุดโต่ง ในขณะเดียวกัน ที่ประชุมได้ส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านความมั่นคงทางทะเล ในด้านความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจ ที่ประชุมได้หารือเกี่ยวกับการเป็นหุ้นส่วนเพื่อความยั่งยืน และเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนในกรอบสหประชาชาติ ปี ค.ศ. 2030 การรับผิดชอบด้านการบริหารจัดการการประมง ที่ประชุมเน้นย้ําความสําคัญของการส่งเสริมระบบการค้าพหุภาคี รวมถึงการเจรจาความตกลงหุ้นส่วนเศรษฐกิจระดับภูมิภาค (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership: RCEP) ให้แล้วเสร็จในปีนี้ ในด้านเสาสังคมและวัฒนธรรม ที่ประชุมได้หารือเกี่ยวกับการต่อต้านโรคระบาดและการกําจัดปัญหาขยะทะเล ตลอดจนมาตรการในการจัดการกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ
