The Advisory Committee notes that the Unit addresses the planning needed to ensure that the Organization can continue its critical functions under all circumstances, while the information and communications technology disaster recovery programme deals with planning for the resumption of information and communications technology infrastructure and services after a disruption that adversely impacts critical business functions (A/64/477, paras. 104–106).
