Vi håber følgelig som socialt højreorienterede, at Unionen i sin politik udadtil vil stå fast på den absolutte nødvendighed af, at der indsættes sociale klausuler i handelsaftalerne, der bygger på ILO's konventioner vedrørende handel og investeringer, og som i sidste instans skal tjene til at beskytte organisationsfriheden, fastsætte minimumsalderen for arbejdstagere, og forbud mod forskelsbehandling og tvangsarbejde.

Wir von der Sozialen Rechten sprechen uns also dafür aus, daß die Union in ihren Außenbeziehungen unbedingt darauf bestehen muß, daß Sozialklauseln in die Handelsabkommen aufgenommen werden, die auf den Rechtsvorschriften der Internationalen Arbeitsorganisation für die Bereiche Handel und Investitionen beruhen und letztlich dazu dienen sollen, die Vereinigungsfreiheit, die Festlegung eines Mindestalters für Arbeitnehmer, die Nichtdiskriminierung und das Verbot der Zwangsarbeit zu gewährleisten.

It is therefore our hope, as the social arm of the right, that in its external activities the Union will stress the absolute need to include social clauses in trade agreements, based on the rules provided for by the International Labour Organization, in relation to both trade and investment, and that these will in the end serve to safeguard freedom of association, the minimum working age, non-discrimination and the banning of forced labour.

Sprekend vanuit onze positie van sociaal-rechtse partij hopen wij dus dat de Unie in haar externe optreden hamert op het feit dat men in de handelsakkoorden absoluut sociale clausules moet opnemen die teruggrijpen op de voorschriften van de Internationale Arbeidsorganisatie inzake handel en investeringen en uiteindelijk dienen tot bescherming van de vrijheid van vereniging, de definitie van een arbeidsgerechtigde minimumleeftijd, het tegengaan van discriminatie en het verbod op dwangarbeid.

Por isso fazemos votos, enquanto direita social, de que na sua acção externa a União insista na necessidade absoluta de incluir cláusulas sociais nos acordos comerciais, com base nas normativas previstas pela Organização Internacional do Trabalho, para o comércio e para os investimentos e que sirvam, finalmente, para proteger a liberdade de associação, a definição da idade mínima para o trabalho, a não discriminação e a proibição do trabalho forçado.
