Also disclosed is a method for cleaning the pipes of the water dispenser, wherein an elastic rod or elastic linear material is inserted in one end of the pipe and passes through the other end of the pipe, and a cleaning member, such as a brush, bundle of fibers, and rubber, is attached to the end portion or some of the middle portion of the rod or linear material, to scrub the inner surface of the pipe clean.

외부 물탱크나 외부 배관으로부터 물을 공급받아 저장하는 물 저장조와 외부로 물을 배출하도록 사용자가 조작하는 배출밸브, 물 저장조와 배출밸브를 연결하며, 적어도 1 곳에서 절곡부를 가지는 배관 파이프를 구비하는 음용수기에 있어서, 배관 파이프의 적어도 하나에서는 모든 절곡부가 청소용 봉재 혹은 선재가 통과할 수 있는 완만한 곡률을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 음용수기가 개시되며, 그 음용수기의 배관을 청소하기 위한 방법으로, 배관의 한 단부에서 탄성 봉재 혹은 탄성 선재를 투입하여 다른 단부로 빠져나오도록 하면서 이 봉재 혹은 선재의 끝단이나 중간 일부에 배관 내벽과 마찰을 통해 내벽을 청소할 수 있는 청소부재로 솔, 섬유 뭉치, 러버 등이 설치되도록 하는 방법이 개시된다.
