The recent debate on legalizing same-sex marriage, as seen through traditional media (see poll in newspaper El Nuevo Diario [es]), has brought to light the opinion of those who oppose the measure, including politicians and even some pro-government and pro-sexual diversity movements [es]; however, the opinion of groups that are already organized around these issues is rarely taken into consideration.

Con el reciente debate en medios tradicionales sobre si debería haber derecho legal al matrimonio entre parejas del mismo sexo (ver encuesta en El Nuevo Diario), ha salido a relucir mucho discurso de personas que están en contra de legalizar el matrimonio igualitario de parte de diputados, e incluso movimientos oficialistas pro la diversidad sexual, sin tomar en cuenta la opinión de los grupos ya organizados previamente alrededor de estos temas.
