আলোকবিদ্যায়, এফ-নাম্বার (কখনো কখনও একে ফোকাল অনুপাত, এফ-স্টপ কিংবা এপারচার বলা হয়), হচ্ছে একটি আলোক লেন্সের ফোকাস দৈর্ঘ্যের সাথে এর ব্যাসার্ধ্যের অনুপাত। এটি একটি এককবিহীন পরিমাপ, যা লেন্সের আলোক গ্রহন ক্ষমতা নির্ণয় করে। ফটোগ্রাফিতে এটি খুবই প্রয়োজনীয় একটি বিষয়। সাধারণত এফ নাম্বার কে এফ এর সাথে অনুপাতিক হারে লিখা হয়, যেমনঃ যেখানে এন হচ্ছে এফ নাম্বার।

In optics, the f-number (sometimes called focal ratio, f-ratio, f-stop, or relative aperture) of an optical system is the ratio of the lens's focal length to the diameter of the entrance pupil. It is a dimensionless number that is a quantitative measure of lens speed, and an important concept in photography. The number is commonly notated using a hooked f, i.e. where N is the f-number.
