Quarante-huit sujets volontaires en bonne santé ont pris part à cette étude, dans le cadre de laquelle un téléphone mobile GSM a été placé sur la tête des sujets, le récepteur étant placé dans l'oreille gauche et le microphone étant orienté vers la commissure de la bouche. L'antenne se trouvait à environ 4 cm de la tête, au-dessus du lobe temporal.
