Oulu’s most popular sights are the Market Square and the old police station. There is something going on all year round. Hupisaaret is a nice place to enjoy a day outdoors, Oulu Cathedral is well worth a visit and the cafeteria of the observatory, built on the ruins of a castle erected in 1605, is a lovely place to have a drink.
