Latin American and Caribbean countries will meet in the framework of the Ad Hoc Committee on Population and Development during the periodic session of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, to be held in Montevideo in March # and will discuss the follow-up activities of the regional process of implementation and review and appraisal of the Madrid Plan of Action, including the convening of the regional conference of the five-year review of the implementation of the Madrid Plan of Action
