Este pequeño pero interesante museo surgió gracias al conocido poeta y antropólogo tabasqueño del mismo nombre, quien vivió en Tepoztlán, siendo así como decidió donar su colección de piezas arqueológicas para ser resguardadas "Como llegar en autobus desde el DFDesde la Ciudad de México, hay que tomar el autobús (Pullman de Morelos o Cristóbal Colón) en la Terminal del Sur (Estación Tasqueña del Sistema de Transporte Colectivo Metro) el recorrido es de 1 hora con 10 minutos aproximadamente, aunque también se puede tomar un autobús de la línea Estrella Roja, pero hay que descender en la caseta de cobro de Tepoztlán, para abordar un taxi o bien caminar hasta el centro de Tepoztlán.Desde Cuernavaca Morelos, se aborda el camión de la línea de transportes "Ometochtli", en el Mercado "Adolfo López Mateos", que se encuentra a unas 5 cuadras del Zócalo y Palacio de Gobierno.
