Za termoelektrane u kojima se koriste za uklanjanje pepela koji se nalazi na samom dnu kotla, za uklanjanje letećeg pepela od elektrostatičog precipitata koji je naviknut maknuti taj pepeo iz dimnih plinova kotlovnice, te za stvaranje vakuuma u ispušnim kondenzatorima parne turbine.
