The bead-breaking unit (1) for a tyre-changing machine (2) comprises: a supporting frame (6); a bead-breaking arm (7) having a first extremity hinged to the frame (6) and a second opposite extremity having a bead-breaking tool (8) suitable for breaking the bead of a tyre; operation means (9) for the movement of the arm (7) fitted on the frame (6); and fitting means (22) to fit in a removable way the frame (6) onto the machine (2).
