The arc and the associated basins must have been located somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, being displaced gradually to the South American continental margin to finally collide with it and be obducted over the western side of the Tahamí terrane.

Dicho arco y sus cuencas asociadas debieron estar localizados en algún lugar ndeterminado del Pacífico, siendo desplazados paulatinamente hacia el borde del continente suramericano para finalmente colisionar con él y ser cabalgadas sobre el borde occidental del Terreno Tahamí.
