Obwohl die nächste Mission mittlerer Größe der Europäischen Weltraumorganisation (ESA) nicht vor 2025 gestartet werden wird, hat die Organisation jetzt die Mission auf drei mögliche Themen reduziert: auf den Atmospheric Remote-Sensing Infrared Exoplanet Large-survey (Ariel), den Turbulence Heating ObserveR (Thor) sowie den X-ray Imaging Polarimetry Explorer (Xipe).
