نذكر بالإعلان الصادر عن المنطقة في عام 1994 بشأن جعل جنوب المحيط الأطلسي منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية والذي اعتمده الاجتماع الوزاري الثالث، ونتعهد بناء على ذلك ببذل كل جهد من أجل حظر ومنع اختبار أي سلاح نووي، واستعماله وصناعته وإنتاجه والحصول عليه وتلقيه وتخزينه وتركيبه ونشره وامتلاكه في أراضي الدول الأعضاء ومياهها الإقليمية، وكذلك الامتناع عن المشاركة في أي من هذه الأنشطة في جنوب المحيط الأطلسي أو تشجيعها أو الإذن بها بصورة مباشرة أو غير مباشرة؛ وندعو في هذا الصدد المجتمع الدولي إلى الالتزام بمركز المنطقة؛

Recall the 1994 Declaration of the Zone on the Denuclearization of the South Atlantic adopted by the third Ministerial Meeting and accordingly undertake all efforts to prohibit and prevent in their respective territories and jurisdictional waters, the testing, use, manufacture, production, acquisition, receipt, storage, installation, deployment and possession of any nuclear weapon, as well as to refrain from engaging in, encouraging or authorizing, directly or indirectly, any of these activities in the South Atlantic; and in this sense, call on the international community to adhere to the status of the Zone;

Recordamos la Declaración de la Zona de 1994 sobre la desnuclearización del Atlántico Sur, adoptada por la tercera Reunión Ministerial y, en consecuencia, nos comprometemos a realizar todos los esfuerzos necesarios para prohibir e impedir en nuestros respectivos territorios y aguas jurisdiccionales, las pruebas, el uso, la fabricación, la producción, la adquisición, la recepción, el almacenamiento, la instalación, el despliegue o la posesión de toda arma nuclear, así como a abstenernos de realizar, fomentar o autorizar, directa o indirectamente, cualquiera de estas actividades en el Atlántico Sur, y en este sentido, instamos a la comunidad internacional a adherirse al status de la Zona;

Rappelons la Déclaration sur la dénucléarisation de l’Atlantique Sud adoptée en 1994 par la zone à la troisième Réunion ministérielle et faisons en conséquence tout notre possible pour interdire et prévenir, sur nos territoires respectifs et dans nos eaux juridictionnelles, les tests, l’emploi, la fabrication, la production, l’acquisition, la réception, le stockage, l’installation, le déploiement et la possession de toute arme nucléaire, ainsi que pour nous abstenir d’entreprendre, d’encourager ou d’autoriser, directement ou indirectement, ces activités dans l’Atlantique Sud; et, à cet égard, demandons à la communauté internationale de respecter le statut de la zone;

напоминаем Декларацию о создании безъядерной зоны в Южной Атлантике, принятую на третьем совещании министров государств-членов зоны в 1994 году, и, соответственно, прилагаем максимум усилий к тому, чтобы запретить и предупредить на территории государств-членов зоны и в находящихся под их юрисдикцией водах испытание, применение, изготовление, производство, приобретение, получение, хранение, размещение и развертывание любого ядерного оружия и обладание им, а также чтобы государства-члены зоны, будь то прямо или косвенно, не участвовали в такой деятельности в Южной Атлантике, а также не поощряли такую деятельность и не попустительствовали ей, и в этой связи призываем международное сообщество присоединиться к статусу зоны;
