Since 2010, local mascot characters promoting each region have attracted attention in Japan. The characters of Kumamoto Prefecture and Shiga Prefecture gained tremendous popularity. The trigger of the boom was a character created to promote the Hikone-jo Castle in Shimane (photo above).

본고장 캐릭터 상품 2010년 이후 각 지역을 홍보하는 '본고장 마스코트 캐릭터'가 일본에서 주목을 받아, 구마모토 현과 시가 현의 캐릭터가 폭발적인 인기를 끌었다. 이러한 캐릭터 열풍에 불을 붙인 것은 시마네 현의 히코네 성(사진 )을 홍보하기 위해 만든 캐릭터이다.
