The main reasons for delay are (i) resource and man power constraints in the Police Department, (ii) non-production of documents by the applicants in support of their address etc., to the police at the time of verification; and (iii) applicant being not present at the residence when the police visits for the purpose of verification.

इस विलंब के मुख्यर कारण इस प्रकार हैं (i) पुलिस विभाग में संसाधनों तथा कर्मचारियों की कमी (ii) सत्यासपन के समय पुलिस को अपने पता आदि के समर्थन में आवेदकों द्वारा दस्ता वेज न दिया जाना और (iii) सत्या पन के प्रयोजनार्थ पुलिस जब घर पर जाती है तो उस समय आवेदक का घर पर उपस्थित नहीं रहना।
