فإذا ما تضارب تصريح الضحية (المزعومة) لجريمة جنسية مع تصريح المشتبه به ولم تتوافر أية شهادات أو أدلة إضافية، كثيراً ما تؤدي قلة الأدلة إلى وقف الإجراءات الجنائية أو إلى التبرئة.

If the statement of the (alleged) victim of a sexual offence conflicts with the statement of the suspect and no additional witnesses or evidence are available, the lack of evidence often leads to termination of the proceedings or acquittal.
