কিছু শ্বেতাম্বর সন্ন্যাসী ও সন্ন্যাসিনী তাদের মুখ সাদা কাপড় বা মুহপট্টি দিয়ে ঢেকে রাখে যাতে তারা কথা বলার সময়ও অহিংসা চর্চা করতে পারে। এভাবে তারা শ্বসনের কারণে ক্ষুদ্র জীবের হত্যার সম্ভাবনা হ্রাস করে।

Some Svetambara monks and nuns cover their mouth with a white cloth or muhapatti to practise ahimsa even when they talk. By doing so they minimize the possibility of inhaling small organisms.
