In Anbetracht der Lage derer, die sich aus Krankheits- oder Altersgründen nicht zu den Orten des Gottesdienstes begeben können, möchte ich die gesamte kirchliche Gemeinschaft auf die pastorale Notwendigkeit aufmerksam machen, für die Kranken, die zu Hause sind oder sich im Krankenhaus befinden, den geistlichen Beistand sicherzustellen.

In thinking of those who cannot attend places of worship for reasons of health or advanced age, I wish to call the attention of the whole Church community to the pastoral importance of providing spiritual assistance to the sick, both those living at home and those in hospital.

Considérant la condition de ceux qui, pour des raisons de santé ou d'âge, ne peuvent pas se rendre dans les lieux de culte, je voudrais attirer l'attention de toute la communauté ecclésiale sur la nécessité pastorale d'assurer l'assistance spirituelle aux malades, à ceux qui restent chez eux ou qui se trouvent à l'hôpital.
