ب) تسدي المشورة وتقدم الدعم للأمين العام في الجوانب السياسية لعلاقاته مع الدول الأعضاء والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية الأخرى، لا سيما المنظمات الإقليمية التي تتعاون معها الأمم المتحدة، بما في ذلك بموجب الفصل الثامن من الميثاق، وذلك عن طريق صياغة المراسلات وتقديم مواد الإحاطة اللازمة لاجتماعاته مع ممثليها وتسجيل وقائع هذه الاجتماعات؛
