Para evitar que se repitan esos incidentes, los Servicios Veterinarios reunieron toda la información que pudieron facilitarles los expertos de la Oficina Internacional de Epizootias y de la Organización Mundial de la Salud presentes en Ammán, y a todos los países interesados les fue recomendado reforzar sus sistemas de vigilancia: intensificación de los controles de las importaciones, investigaciones de terreno y laboratorio sobre el diagnóstico de la enfermedad, información a los profesionales, etc.
