In den fünf Flusssystemen, die im LIFE-Projekt bearbeitet werden, kommen außerdem verschiedene Lebensräume der FFH-Richtlinie vor (Fließgewässer der planaren bis montanen Stufe mit Unterwasservegetation, magere Flachlandmähwiesen, feuchte Hochstaudensäume sowie prioritäre Auwaldtypen).

Five river systems are investigated in the course of the LIFE-Nature Project. These river systems also include natural habitats that are listed in the Habitat Directive (water courses of plain to montane levels, lowland hay meadows, hydrophilous tall herb fringe communities as well as riparian forests, the last being a priority habitat type).
