وقد بدأت الحكومة في تنفيذ برامجها الخاصة بها لنـزع سلاح المقاتلين السابقين، وتسريحهم وإعادة إدماجهم، بهدف تنفيذ برنامج عمل الأمم المتحدة لمنع الاتجار غير المشروع بالأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة من جميع جوانبه ومكافحته والقضاء عليه.
