والوكالة البرازيلية - الأرجنتينية مسؤولة عن إدارة وتطبيق النظام المشترك للمساءلة عن المواد النووية ومراقبتها في البرازيل والأرجنتين، بغية ضمان عدم تحويل هذه المواد إلى أسلحة نووية أو أجهزة متفجرات نووية، تمشيا مع مقاصد الاتفاق الثنائي الذي تم بمقتضاه إنشاء الوكالة.

The Brazilian-Argentine Agency is responsible for the administration and application of the Common System of Accounting and Control to all nuclear materials in Brazil and Argentina, with a view to ensuring that no material is diverted to nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices, in conformity with the purposes of the bilateral Agreement that created the Agency.
