Por esa misma época, su hermano Inocencio, de bastante menor edad, llega a convertirse en uno de los más preclaros predicadores de la Orden de los Dominicos en el Perú, lo cual a su vez coincide con el llamado que recibe este extraordinario pintor por parte del presidente José Pardo para asumir la dirección de la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes de Lima, en la cual contribuyó a la formación de nuevos artistas peruanos, hasta el año de su Bailaora
