Key military tasks would include the provision of support to the Joint Security Committee in monitoring the ceasefire and implementing the security arrangements established under the Djibouti agreement; the protection of United Nations personnel and assets; and support for a range of peacebuilding tasks, including disarmament, demobilization and reintegration, weapons control and elections.
