The European Roe deer populations in Castile and Leon are spread all over the provinces of Burgos and Soria. In the provinces of Leon and Palencia, it only lacks in the agricultural areas of Tierra de Campos, and it is present throughout the northwest of Zamora (in the quadrant bounded by the Esla River to the east and the Duero River to the south) plus Las Arribes.
