السيد الرئيس، دعوني فقط أؤكد لكم من جديد أننا لو حصلنا على إشارات إيجابية من حكومة باكستان بأنها جادة فيما يخص عضويتها في التحالف القائم لمحاربة الإرهاب، حينئذ سنكون بالتأكيد في وضع يمكننا من الاستجابة بصورة إيجابية ومواتية وبدء حوار بناء ولا ينتهي بنوع من الجمود أو التأزم اللذين شهدناهما من قبل.

Mr. President, let me therefore just reiterate that if we do receive positive signs from the Government of Pakistan that it is serious about being a member of the coalition in the war against terrorism, then we will certainly be in a position to respond positively and favourably and to commence dialogue in the hope that this will be purposeful and not end up in the kind of stalemate or impasse that we have seen in the past.

Señor Presidente, quisiera pues reiterar solamente que si recibimos indicaciones positivas del Gobierno del Pakistán de su firme deseo de sumarse a la coalición de lucha contra el terrorismo, estaremos muy dispuestos a responder positiva y favorablemente y a iniciar el diálogo con la esperanza de que sea un diálogo eficaz y no caiga en los estancamientos y puntos muertos que hemos visto hasta ahora.

Поэтому, г-н Председатель, позвольте мне лишь вновь повторить, что если мы получим-таки от правительства Пакистана кое-какие знаки серьезности его намерений в плане подключения к коалиции по борьбе с терроризмом, то мы наверняка будем в состоянии дать позитивный и благоприятный отклик и начать диалог в надежде на то, что он окажется конструктивным, а не обернется в конце концов такого же рода застоем или затором, как мы это наблюдали в прошлом.
