A pseudo-gel comprising a suitable solvent in an amount of 1 to 10 percent by weight and an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene in an amount of 99 to 90 percent by weight, said polyethylene being a semicrystalline network with adjustable crystalline morphology comprising randomly dispersed and oriented chain-folded single crystals, stacks of single crystals, spherulite crystals, and extended-chain shish-kebab-type of fibrils with lengths up to a few millimeters and widths up to 20 $g(m)m.

Pseudo-gel comprenant un solvant adéquat en une quantité comprise entre 1 et 10 % en poids et un polyéthylène de poids moléculaire ultra-élevé en une quantité comprise entre 99 et 90 % en poids, ledit polyéthylène étant un réseau semi-cristallin présentant une morphologie cristalline ajustable comprenant des monocristaux repliés en chaîne, dispersés et orientés au hasard, des piles de monocristaux, des cristaux de sphérulite et des chaînes étendues de fibrilles du type chiche-kebab avec des longueurs allant jusqu'à quelques millimètres et des largeurs allant jusquà 20 $g(m)m.
