A method is provided, including providing an annuloplasty prosthesis (10, 600), and coupling the prosthesis (10, 600) to a native mitral valve posterior annulus at a plurality of locations on the prosthesis (10, 600), including coupling two of the locations on the prosthesis to two sides of a middle scallop (P2) of the posterior annulus directly opposite small commissures at (a) a junction of a lateral scallop (P1) of the posterior leaflet and P2, and (b) a junction of P2 and a medial scallop (P3) of the posterior leaflet, respectively.

La présente invention concerne un procédé impliquant de procurer une prothèse d'annuloplastie (10, 600) et de raccorder ladite prothèse (10, 600) à un anneau mitral postérieur natif en une pluralité d'endroits de la prothèse (10, 600), notamment de raccorder deux de ces endroits de la prothèse à deux côtés d'un feston (P2) de l'anneau postérieur, directement en regard des petites commissures, (a) au niveau d'une jonction d'un feston latéral (P1) du feuillet postérieur et de P2 et (b) au niveau d'une jonction de P2 et d'un feston interne (P3) du feuillet postérieur, respectivement.
