The report includes a progress report on work completed in the updating of the System of National Accounts, 1993 (1993 SNA).2 It covers the results of meetings of the Advisory Expert Group on National Accounts and other expert groups, summarizes the recommendations reached on a number of issues among the 44 issues selected for updating, and provides information on the global consultation mechanism, the governance structure, the funding situation and other aspects of the SNA updating project to be completed by 2008.
