On the territory of present-day Middle-Slavonia Vlachs and Serbs were settled at the edges of the Požega basin, in the Papuk, Krndija and Dilj mountains, and in the area between the Papuk and Psunj mountains and the river Ilova, which latter was considered as a Catholic-Muslim front line. This territory was called Little-Valachia (Mala Vlaška) at the time [19].

A mai Közép-Szlavóniában különösen nagy tömegben költöztettek vlahokat, szerbeket a Pozsegai-medence bejárataihoz, a Papuk, Krndija és Dilj hegységbe, a keresztény-muzulmán frontvonalnak számító Ilova folyó és a Papuk, Psunj hegység közé, mely utóbbit ez időszakban Kis-Valachiának (Mala Vlaška) neveztek [19].
