وبناء على ذلك قد يرغب مؤتمر الأطراف في تشجيع المجموعات الإقليمية للأمم المتحدة على أن تجتمع أثناء الاجتماع الثاني لمؤتمر الأطراف لانتخاب أعضاء المكتب اعتباراً من انتهاء الاجتماع الثاني وحتى انتهاء الاجتماع الثالث لمؤتمر الأطراف ولإبلاغ المؤتمر بنتائج هذه الانتخابات.

The Conference may therefore wish to encourage the United Nations regional groups to meet during the course of the second meeting of the Conference to elect officers to serve on the Bureau from the end of the second meeting until the end of the third meeting of the Conference and to inform the Conference of the results of such elections.
