Der Ehrenring wird zwar vielleicht an meinem Finger nicht sichtbar sein, aber er wird einen solchen Platz bekommen, daß ich ihn immer vor Augen habe und er sagt mir, was im Innersten meines Herzens ohnedies gegenwärtig ist: Dort bin ich zu Hause, im Chiemgau, im Rupertiwinkel, an den Orten meiner Jugend, die Sie aufgezählt haben.

The ring of honour will probably not be seen on my finger, but it will be displayed in such a way that I always have it before my eyes to remind me of what, in any case, I know in the depths of my heart: I am at home there in Chiemgau and in Rupertiwinkel, in the places of my youth that you have mentioned.
