وقد اتُّخِذت بعض الخطوات بالفعل، من قبيل إنشاء لجنة مشتركة لوضع استراتيجية عمل لتعزيز التمكين السياسي والاقتصادي والاجتماعي للمرأة، وتضم أمانة شؤون المرأة في المؤتمر الشعبي العام ومجلس التخطيط الوطني واللجنة الشعبية العامة للشؤون الاجتماعية.

Some steps had been taken already, such as the establishment of a joint committee, including the Secretariat of Women Affairs of the General People’s Congress, the National Planning Council and the General People’s Committee for Social Affairs, to develop a working strategy for promoting the political, economic and social empowerment of women.
