The International Association of Phonosurgery was founded in 1990 with its first meeting in Belgrade, Yugoslavia and a Mission which “Gathers voice surgeons and scientists of related disciplines, devoted to promote better voice care around the world by means of organizing and supporting educational and training activities, and also by cooperating with different international entities in order to facilitate the access to state of the art technology and training in areas of the world in need of progress.”

La Asociación Internacional de Fonocirugía se fundó en 1990, su primera asamblea se realizó en Belgrado, Yugoslavia, y su Misión es “Reunir a cirujanos de la voz y científicos de disciplinas relacionadas, dedicados a promover un mejor cuidado de la voz en todo el mundo mediante la organización y el apoyo de actividades educativas y de formación, y también mediante la cooperación con diferentes entidades internacionales con el fin de facilitar el acceso a tecnología de avanzada y capacitación en zonas del mundo que necesitan progreso”.
