betont in diesem Zusammenhang insbesondere das große Potential des Mediums Radio, das in weiten Teilen, insbesondere Afrikas, nach wie vor das am meisten verbreitete Medium ist und durch das sich mühelos auch abgelegene Gebiete erreichen lassen, für die Vermittlung von (land-) wirtschaftlichem Wissen, für die Förderung von Empowerment der Zivilbevölkerung oder gesundheitliche Aufklärung, insbesondere zur HIV/AIDS-Prävention, wobei auch die des Lesens und Schreibens unkundige Bevölkerung erreicht wird; fordert daher sowohl die Kommission als auch die Mitgliedstaaten auf, diesem Bereich mehr finanzielle und kreative Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken;

τονίζει ιδιαίτερα στο πλαίσιο αυτό τις μεγάλες δυνατότητες του ραδιοφώνου, το οποίο σε εκτεταμένες περιοχές, ιδιαίτερα της Αφρικής, εξακολουθεί να είναι το περισσότερο διαδεδομένο μέσο ενημέρωσης, μέσω του οποίου μπορούν να προσεγγισθούν εύκολα ακόμη και απομακρυσμένες περιοχές για τη μετάδοση πληροφοριών που αφορούν τη γεωργία και την οικονομία, για την ενδυνάμωση της κοινωνίας των πολιτών, για την ενημέρωση σε θέματα υγείας, ιδιαίτερα όσον αφορά την πρόληψη τουHIV/AIDS, με το μέσο αυτό δε οι μεταδιδόμενες πληροφορίες φθάνουν και σε ομάδες του πληθυσμού που δεν γνωρίζουν γραφή και ανάγνωση· για το λόγο αυτό ζητεί τόσο από την Επιτροπή όσο και από τα κράτη μέλη να προβλέψουν μεγαλύτερη οικονομική ενίσχυση και δημιουργικά σχέδια για τον εν λόγω τομέα·

Draws particular attention here to the great potential of the radio medium, which in large parts of Africa particularly is still the most widespread medium and by which even remote areas can easily be reached, to convey (agricultural) economic know-how, promote the empowerment of civil society or health education, especially the prevention of HIV/AIDS, also reaching the people who are unable to read and write; hence calls on both the Commission and the Member States to give this area greater financial and creative attention;

Realça em particular, neste contexto, o elevado potencial da rádio, que em grandes áreas especialmente de África, continua a ser o meio de comunicação mais difundido e através do qual também é possível alcançar facilmente zonas remotas para transmitir conhecimentos económicos (agrícolas), promover a responsabilização da população civil ou a informação sanitária - em particular, a prevenção do VIH/SIDA - e alcançar a população analfabeta; por isso, exorta a Comissão e os Estados-Membros a providenciarem mais recursos financeiros e atenção criativa a este domínio;
