En 1997 se cumplieron 60 años del fallecimiento del gran George Gershwin, con tal motivo, Navarro en dúo con Lopez Furst y acompañamiento de la Orquesta Sinfónica dirigida por Ernesto Acher, realizaron 8 conciertos, en los meses de septiembre y octubre en el teatro Avenida de la Capital Federal a sala llena y con gran éxito de crítica especializada, que consideró estos recitales como el suceso musical del año.
