Translation of these and related rhizobial genes essential for the symbiotic association apparently occurs very early in the symbiosis because the protein pattern of the "infection thread rhizobia" is very similar to that of the mature bacteroids and is different from that of the cultured vegetative rhizobia.

La traduction de ces transcriptions et de celles d'autres gènes reliés des rhizobiums, lesquelles sont apparemment essentielles pour l'association symbiotique, survient très tôt dans la symbiose vu que le patron protéique des filaments d'infection rhizobiens ressemble étroitement à celui des bactéroïdes matures, mais diffère de celui des rhizobiums végétatifs en culture.
