First was the formation of the all-new 1 Canadian Air Division. Then followed the assumption of command of the new commander of the division, MGen George Macdonald; the change of command of Canadian NORAD Region; the closing of Air Command Headquarters and the opening of the new combined 1 Canadian Air Division and Canadian NORAD Region Headquarters.

Cette cérémonie a commencé par l'inauguration de la toute nouvelle Première Division aérienne du Canada, suivie par la prise de commandement du nouveau commandant de la division, le mgén George Macdonald, la passation du commandement de la Région canadienne du NORAD, la fermeture du Quartier général du Commandement aérien et l'ouverture du nouveau quartier général combiné de la 1re Division aérienne du Canada et de la Région canadienne du NORAD.
