Der Senatsbeschluss vom 4. Mai 1995 gilt als Gründungsdatum des „Zentrum für Europäische Integrationsforschung“ (ZEI) und des „Zentrum für Entwicklungsforschung“ (ZEF). „Das ZEI hat als eine fach- und fakultätsübergreifende Einrichtung zum Ziel, Problemfelder politischer, rechtlicher, wirtschaftlicher, gesellschaftlicher und kultureller Integrationsdisparitäten im regionalen wie gesamteuropäischen Kontext zu untersuchen.

(ZEF) According to the founding resolution of the Senate of the University of Bonn of May 4, 1995, the tasks of ZEI are as follows: "ZEI will function as a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary institution aimed working on problems in the areas of political, legal, economic, social and cultural integration disparities in a regional and pan-European context.
