The fate of the archives of many great and notable photographers is in the hands of time and individual families and their collections. There are still no clear guidelines for how to make these historic documents part of Colombia’s national patrimony, that is to say, to make them part of the cultural heritage of the nation in archives with appropriate methods for their conservation.

Muchos de los archivos de grandes y reconocidos fotógrafos están a la suerte del tiempo y de las familias y aún no se tiene una normativa clara sobre cómo o cual es el proceso de patrimonializar estos documentos históricos a favor de la sociedad colombiana es decir, que hagan parte del patrimonio de la nación, en archivos con las medidas adecuadas para su conservación.
