والمشاورات الرفيعة المستوى التي جرت بين أعضاء مجلس الأمن وهيئة وساطة الجماعة الاقتصادية واللجنة الأمنية في السنة الماضية، قبل فرض الجزاءات على ليبريا، تستحق الإشادة، ونحث المجلس على إضفاء الطابع المؤسسي على هذا النهج في أساليب عمله.

The high-level consultations between the members of the Security Council and the ECOWAS ministerial Mediation and Security Committee last year, prior to the imposition of sanctions on Liberia, are commendable, and the Council is urged to institutionalize such an approach in its working methods.
