34] Sehet, wenn ihr nun dieses begreifet, da werdet ihr auch wohl begreifen, daß der Ton ist wie die Pfeife, oder das Licht wie das Leben, und der Lohn wie die Arbeit, oder die Erkenntnis oder das Selbstbewußtsein des ewigen Lebens in sich wie die Tat nach dem Worte; und wie der Berg, also des Krümme, oder wie geartet das Leben, so gestaltet auch der Pol desselben; und wie das Herz, also auch dessen Stimme, oder wie die Demut im Herzen, also auch das lebendige Wort im selben!

12.34 See, if you now understand this, then you will also understand that the tone is as the pipe, and the light as the life, and the reward as the work, or the cognition or self-knowledge of the eternal life in itself as the deed according to the Word; and as the mountain, so the bend in the road, or as the life is lived, so also is its pole; and as the heart, so is its voice, or as the humility within the heart, so also the living Word within it.
