Auf jeden Fall ist in der demokratischen Kultur unserer Zeit die Meinung weit verbreitet, wonach sich die Rechtsordnung einer Gesellschaft darauf beschränken sollte, die Überzeugungen der Mehrheit zu verzeichnen und anzunehmen, und daher nur auf dem aufbauen, was die Mehrheit selber als moralisch anerkennt und lebt.
