The Meeting noted that the International Charter, in cooperation with nine space agencies, including the Disaster Monitoring Constellation (comprised of Algeria, Nigeria, Turkey and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland), was a useful mechanism and had a direct impact on the way the United Nations operated during natural and technological disasters.
