وقدمت اللجنة في أثناء عملها توصيات لاستعادة النظام ومنع تكرار تاريخ أوغندا المضطرب، وقد ضمن الكثير من هذه التوصيات في دستور عام 1955، ولا سيما إنشاء لجنة دائمة لحقوق الإنسان لها سلطة التحقيق وتعويض الضحايا، وسن مشروع قانون كامل للحقوق وآليات الإنفاذ.

In the course of its work, the Commission had made recommendations for restoring order and preventing a repetition of Uganda’s turbulent history, and many of those recommendations had been included in the 1995 Constitution notably, the establishment of a permanent human rights commission with power to investigate and provide redress for victims, and the enactment of a complete bill of rights and mechanisms of enforcement.

En el curso de su labor, la Comisión formuló recomendaciones para restablecer el orden y prevenir una repetición de la historia turbulenta de Uganda. Muchas de esas recomendaciones fueron incluidas en la Constitución de 1995, concretamente el establecimiento de una comisión permanente de derechos humanos facultada para investigar violaciones y resarcir a las víctimas y la promulgación de una declaración completa de derechos y garantías fundamentales, así como mecanismos para su efectivo cumplimiento.

Dans le cadre de ses travaux, la Commission a fait des recommandations visant à rétablir l’ordre et à empêcher que l’histoire turbulente de l’Ouganda ne se répète, et bon nombre de ces recommandations ont été incorporées dans la Constitution de 1995 notamment celles concernant la création d’une Commission permanente chargée des droits de l’homme habilitée à enquêter et obtenir réparation au nom des victimes, ainsi que la promulgation d’une déclaration très complète des droits de l’homme et des libertés, assortie des mécanismes nécessaires pour la faire respecter.

В ходе своей работы Комиссия давала рекомендации относительно восстановления порядка и предупреждения повторения беспокойной истории Уганды, причем многие из этих рекомендаций были включены в конституцию 1995 года, в частности об учреждении постоянной комиссии по правам человека, правомочной проводить расследования и предоставлять средства правовой защиты жертвам, и о принятии в полном объеме билля о правах и создании механизмов обеспечения его осуществления.
